About the Author

Having waved goodbye to my first half-century, I have begun a new adventure, or perhaps restarted an old one.  I'm in school at University of Alaska Anchorage getting my Master's in English, with the intention of teaching beginning writing.  This is my first term teaching freshman composition.  So far there have been no casualties.

The decades-long hiatus is the result of a decision to focus on my family while the children were young and the elderly needed my attention.  The children are in school at UAA also, and don't need a lot of supervision (suggestions and advice, perhaps, but not supervision).

I am an avid weaver, sing soprano in my church choir, play handbells, and love to cook.  Had you told me at this time last year that blogging was in my future I would have laughed at you.  As the Peanuts characters used to say long  ago,  "Sidney or the bush!

Beginnings
